If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.

I often forget how good water is, I used to drink water as a last resort opting instead to drink a sweet and milky coffee instead.
I thought I was different to everyone else, and I could go without drinking water. I would only really drink it if I went to the gym or did some form of exercise.
It’s astounding that it took me so long to realise that I had this amazing resource that was always at my fingertips.
Water is a resource which has so many advantages to your health and well-being such as:
· Water boosts brain power
· Water beautifies skin
· Water detoxifies the body
· Water can help prevent injuries
· Water can relieve headaches
· Water eases digestion
· Water aids weight loss
However, water also has many other advantages not commonly known, for example:
What do you drink when you have a sore throat? - Water What do you drink when you have a stomach cramp? – Water What do you drink when you are unwell? – Water
This one really shocked me ….
What SHOULD you have when you are peckish? – WATER!!!
And why??
Because you’re most likely just thirsty and water will take that craving away.
I now wonder why so many people prefer to steer clear of water and drink everything else
Is it a belief water has no taste? Is it about sugar? Is it an addiction to caffeine? (Now don’t get me wrong, I love a nice coffee… just not solely coffee) Is it all about that extra boost that we believe we need and believe we can only obtain from a shot of coffee, energy drink or sugar?
Personally, I think it’s our perceptions about water and our need to tingle our tastebuds.
While a lot of people are aware of the benefits of water and there is a trend of people advocating these benefits on social media, there is no big budget marketing campaign or company with a big fancy logo advertising water unless it is the “trending” coconut water or equivalent.
I would like to remind you all that water is so beneficial and readily available and suggest you all increase your water intake, however, as with anything, you CAN take things too far! Everything, beneficial or not, is about moderation.
